A bit of an introduction for myself

Welcome to my personal website, I'm Vee, a bit of a weirdo but also a nerd or geek that's kind of obsessed with the Half-Life series (it should be obvious with the music and also the background lol). This site is essentially my personal void I can shout into (the blog part), and also basically where I'll list certain things I've either made or put online. Also, it's a much neater and better looking version of whatever the hell I was doing with my Linktree. Thank you, Lou.

You may know me from Union-Crax, as you likely may have noticed my name in the source fields of multiple games, at least that's what I'm assuming - I highly doubt anyone knows me from other places online, lmao. I'm working on quite a few projects (projects I doubt will ever seen through and successfully completed), one of which is my attempt at porting Half-Life: Opposing Force to the PS2 the same way (and using the same tools!) as Supadupaplex did with his Half-Life: Blue Shift port. So far, I have been weirdly successful in some aspects but ultimately unsuccessful. I also have made a mod of the Half-Life: Alyx NoVR Mod so that it doesn't launch through Steam but instead runs the hlvr.exe directly with the launch arguments correctly set (thank you Ars for helping me with that bit of Godot code!) so it can be run completely without Steam, which I was not at all aware that others had already done - oh well!

I have an affinity for niche devices and getting things to work on them and anything that isn't supposed to be able to work, think of it like I'm just banging rocks together over my head while shouting at my computer until it magically works. I mean, hell I literally made something using Visual Basic 6 - a dead language that originally came out in 1998, though I used TwinBASIC which is a modern VB6 IDE / compiler, but that's besides the point. I have also been trying to work with C & Java code to at least attempt to understand how to implement touchpad support for games on the Xperia Play, but Sony did not make it easy at all to understand, I don't think it's documented well enough even in the code samples they provided back in 2011. But also I have no understanding or knowledge of either Java or C, so it's likely just me lmao. If anyone can help, I'm trying to get the touchpad working in Xash3D FWGS to play Half-Life properly with pseudo-joysticks on the Play. All I need is to be able to understand what's going on in the code so I can figure out what the best way to implement it is by modifying the source code.
